Galerne is a true French baker, the quality of his products is as good as it is in France.

A lot of different sourdough bread (some more pronounced than others), pain de campagne, pavé (white and brown), Galette Bretonne, bread with nuts and figs, bread with basil and olives. That is why on Saturday and Sunday there is always a long queue out on to the pavement to obtain some fresh croissants or petit pain for breakfast.
While you are waiting it is fun to watch the bakers at work
New in his assortment is pain d'Emile, a special sourdough recipe from this Parisian brother: Emile.
Also he is well known for his patisserie: delicious pastries, cakes etc such as tartes aux fruits, lemon, cherry, chocolate.

The quality of this patisserie is excellent. Even our Queen buys her pastries and chocolates here.
The counters are packed with works of art in the shape of cakes, pastries, chocolates and of course macaroons. Almost too beautiful to eat!
For example the “Citron”: a soft lemon bavarois on a base of almond and butter pastry finished off with a jelly of lemon zest.
Or the “Lady in Red”, a beautiful cake with a base of almond/hazelnut pastry with chocolate mousse of Manjari chocolate and a filling of raspberry and apricot covered with a red layer and beautifully decorated. Of course Jarreau also has handmade chocolates, you can choose from 25 different types.
They are also well known for their macaroons in many different flavours.
If you want to get stuck in yourself they also offer a 4-hour workshop by the owner and chef pâtissier himself.
Every season Jarreau presents new pâtisserie items, fitting in with the season. Go an taste something, we are looking forward to your reaction. Recently Bart de Gans from Jarreau won an award for the best chocolate of the Netherlands called “Gold Rush”.
